Reminder - Thursday - BACA MEETING FEBRUARY 1, 2007, 7:00 P.M. AT THE OYSTER BAR
Presentations on the progress of the Bicycle Friendly Community efforts of both Little Rock and North Little Rock city governments. In addition, we will have an update on advocacy efforts as well as a report of upcoming events. Plus good food & good company.
(2)Reminder - Monday (or tomorrow or today, depending on when you read this) - BACA CO-SPONSOR WITH CLINTON SCHOOL OF PUBLIC SERVICE -"Promoting Service Through Adventure: A 2800 Mile Bicycle Journey" - BY PATRICK COOK-DEEGAN - 11:30 - 1:00 p.m. at the Clinton School of Public Service.
In the summer of 2005, Cook-Deegan biked more than 2800 miles through Laos, Cambodia and Burma and raised more than $22,500 for a primary school in Laos and scholarships for girls in Cambodia. The presentation will be at the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service, Sturgis Hall, located in the historic Choctaw Station of the Rock Island Railroad on the grounds of the William J. Clinton Presidential Center and Park, just east of the I-30 downtown exit to Little Rock.
We hope to see you at both events.

Welp...looks like the CARP Brethern absorbed most of the bandwidth over at OORC. We like to absorb now! Sorry, wish I had jotted down a contact over there...this looks like a sweet ride! If anyone knows who to contact for registrations...holler and I can post the contact info out here.

We all Fat, Cold, and news is slow....sooooo...crank it up!
This weekend heading north of Clarksville is the Headwaters Challenge. This is a self supported 40 mile Mt. Bike ride that starts in Red Star, AR and ends on the Big Piney Creek. This ride is put on by the OORC and this is one of there yearly fundraisers. There will not be many, if any, aid stations and the course will be challenging. It is this Saturday starting at 9am. Registration is $20.
