Mark your calendars for the next BACA meeting, February 7, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at the Oyster Bar, 3003 W. Markham. North Little Rock Mayor Pat Hays will be our featured speaker and will give us an update on North Little Rock's future plans for bicyclists. We have Mayor Hays to thank for the wonderful bicycle trails on the north side of the River. Please plan on attending to show your support to Mayor Hays. In addition, we will be presenting a bicycle friendly award to another North Little Rock bicyclist supporter.

Ugh..man..Ritchey recalls seatpost and crank set...from BRAIN - "Ritchey Design has announced a voluntary recall on certain WCS and Pro level road and 'cross cranksets"

From the BRAIN website.....

BETHEL, CT (BRAIN)—The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with Cannondale, has announced a voluntary recall of roughly 150 Scalpel mountain bikes from the 2008 model year.

The frame can break while in use, causing the rider to lose control and suffer injuries from a fall or collision.
Cannondale has received six reports of frames breaking. No injuries have been reported.....
