5 Mile Loop Cleared!!<--Posted Saturday, February 26, 2011 by Gary
|
As of this morning at 10:00, the Five Mile Loop Trail has been cleared of all logging debris and should be considered completely open for bike riding. A couple of things to consider:
1) The part of the Five Mile Loop Trail that borders the smaller cleared area is flagged and should be easy to follow. (When riding clockwise on 5Mile, this is the first cleared area you encounter approx. .75miles after the junction with Shipwreck and ZigZag.)
2) the part of the Five Mile Loop Trail that goes through the smallercleared area is not flagged and will have to be reestablished due to the clearing operation. The trail is flagged at each end and there are truck tire tracks along what should be the trail.
Work will begin on Christmas Tree and Extension next week.
Have a good weekend! The forecast calls for nice weather this weekend, good biking weather!

From John Barton's Blog.....
Camp Trail Closure: February 18-20 & 25 plus....burning underway
Be aware that the C.A.R.P. trails in TA2 at Camp Robinson will be closed to riders on the above dates. I'll post as more extensive update as time allows, but currently trails are in very good shape. Access from the main parking lot requires riding either Pipeline/Shipwreck/ Merlin or Dogwood Trail.
More info...this is immediate.....
