Just got this email a couple of days ago it will be of interest to someone! - I was riding at Camp today and found a cell phone on one of the trails. I took it to the Camp Robinson Police Station and left it with them. Can you please spread the word in case someone is looking for it?
Thanks, Jeff

Help Dedicate the Medical Mile Section of the Arkansas River Trail - 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 10th, Riverfront Park at the Heart Clinic Arkansas Monument (behind the River Market building)
The Medial Mile portion of the Arkansas River Trail is to be dedicated at a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 10 a.m. this Friday, November 10. The Medical Mile, the Arkansas River Trail and the Big Dam Bridge linking the Little Rock & North Little Rock sides of the trail are rapidly gaining Central Arkansas a national reputation as a community that places a high value on quality of life amenities. BACA board member Dr. Rob Lambert & other physicians at Heart Clinic Arkansas were the driving force behind development of the Medical Mile, a unique public-private partnership serving the recreational, health and quality of life related interests of the community. Dr. Lambert & his colleagues have raised over one million dollars from the medical community for artwork and other displays along the trail. The artwork and displays promote the health related benefits of exercise, fitness and recreation. The Medical Mile has received considerable favorable national attention, including recognition from the National Park Service and the 2006 American Trails National Health and Trails Award. Please show your support of Rob & all he has accomplished by attending the dedication ceremony.
(2) Support the Arkansas Highway & Transportation Department's Safe Routes to Schools program by attending the Safe Route to Schools Public Outreach Session on Thursday, November 16.
The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department has established a new program to encourage children in Kindergarten through Eighth Grade to walk and bicycle to school. The Arkansas Safe Routes to School Program will use Federal funding to provide infrastructure improvements and educational programs for Arkansas' schools. The Department has scheduled public outreach sessions across the State to provide detailed information about this new program.
Money is available to develop connecting routes from schools to parks and parks to parks. The Safe Routes to School program is another component in the goal of making Little Rock and North Little Rock bicycle friendly cities. We need all out support from BACA supporters to push for funding for bicycle routes. Please attend the public outreach session for Little Rock on November 16, at 5:30 p.m. at the Metroplan offices, 501 W. Markham, Little Rock. If possible, wear your BACA t-shirt.
Additional information on the meetings times and locations of the outreach sessions are on the meetings link and calendar link on the BACA website, www.bacar.org.

The Cannondale Demo Trucks will be on the road throughout the United States again in 2006 and each is equipped with the latest bikes for you and your friends to test and abuse. Just be warned, the Cannondale cycling experience is highly contagious. Once you've ridden the bike you may well be infected for life!
Come ride your dream ride along the Millenium Trail in North Little Rock, tackle the singletrack in Burns Park or both! Chainwheel will be near the Burns Park boat ramp Saturday morning November 11th from 9AM until 12PM.
Put on some "Hectic Watermelon" to get that Cannondale Feeling! Bionic Hillbilly is one of my fav's!

BACA Meeting 7 pm Thursday, November 2nd Oyster Bar<--Posted Wednesday, November 1, 2006 by Gary

BACA Meeting - Candidates Forum: 7 p.m., Thursday, November 2nd, Oyster Bar
After a successful candidates forum featuring candidates for Little Rock Board of Director positions, BACA will sponsor a candidates forum featuring candidates for North Little Rock alderman positions. Last year, by a vote of 7-0, the North Little Rock City Council approved a measure to expand the highly-successful River Trail into local neighborhoods. Many BACA supporters regularly ride in North Little Rock. Indeed, North Little Rock has been in the forefront of trail development. So it is important for all BACA supporters, not just those who vote in North Little Rock, to attend the forum to let the candidates know that there are a large number of people appreciative of what North Little Rock has done and are interested in further development of bicycle trails, such as the North-South trail on which BACA Board member Dr. Rob Lambert is working. Just showing up for the meeting is a very important bicycle advocacy activity. Plus, as always, there's good food & company readily available.
Thanks Gary
