Steve Shepherd to Join Orbea!<--Posted Friday, December 29, 2006 by Gary
Just got word that ABC's very own Steve Shepherd will begin a new career at Orbea! Way to go Steve! The transmutation theory holds true after all. Steve has been a highly valued employee at Acxiom for a long time now, and will be sorely missed by the noon rock-N-Roll Acxiom ride gruppo (also known as the Oblivion Express). Steve often lead The Oblivion Express (.mp3 sample from the BassCowboy) in the hills of West Little Rock on many a lunch ride.

"I'm the most excited I've been in my life and looking forward to working with everyone at Orbea!"

Jingle Bell Ride...<--Posted Friday, December 22, 2006 by Gary
As is tradition, Christmas Eve at 2:00pm we will meet at the parking lot at Camp for the annual "Jingle Bell Ride". Decorate your bike (bells for sure, ribbons, bows, lights, what ever) and bring your camera. We will leave promptly at 2:00 don't be late. It will start with pictures, then a casual ride, all the hardcore riders can stay as long as they want, but I'll have to return home to try to catch a glimpse of Santa.

Plan now, bring the dog, (complete with Reindeer antlers, the kids elves of course) and your bike. We'll have hot cider and cocoa for after the ride. See you there!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Main Gate Closed At Camp - 12-11-2006<--Posted Wednesday, December 13, 2006 by Gary
The main gate at Camp will be closed starting Monday 12/11/06 for an indefinite period of time. The guys at the guard shack said it would probably be 3-4 months. The reason is the construction project. They said all traffic should enter through the Reserve Center Gate off Camp Robinson Road. It will be open 24/7 as the front gate was.

Coming from the north - The reserve gate is straight down from the orphanage towards Camp. Don't turn on Donavan Briley, just go
straight. Coming in from Burns Park...turn right on Donavan Briley and go to the end and turn left.

Oh Yeah----Christmas Party Time!!!<--Posted Monday, December 11, 2006 by Gary
The Carp Christmas party is set for Sat. night Dec. 16th from 6:30-11:00pm at the same place as last year. The Little Rock Counsel Garden Center is located at the corner of Lee and Kavanaugh in the Heights (1501 Kavanaugh Blvd). We will be partying with the Arkansas Bicycle Club and a runner's club, so it should be a good mix of people sharing like interests. Beer and Wine will be provided, but feel free to bring your favorite beverage. Potluck as usual, so pick out something easy or try to dazzle us with that special recipe your Aunt Betsy just loves. All Carp members and their spouses or friends are invited, just come by, stay a while or stay till the end, no charge, casual dress, and lot's of Holiday fun!
See you there,
