Mark your calendars for the next BACA meeting on June 4, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at the Oyster Bar, 3003 W. Markham. Little Rock Mayor Mark Stodola and his staff have agreed to come to the meeting to discuss matters of concern to bicyclists, including the status of the Little Rock River Trail and the Clinton Library Bridge, future plans for bicycle paths and striped lanes, urban bicycle corridors, sharrows, among others. Please plan on attending as the meeting provides BACA supporters a unique opportunity to engage in a dialogue with the Mayor and his staff.

End Of National Bike Month - May 29th...<--Posted Wednesday, May 20, 2009 by Gary
Join us for a celebration as we mark the end of national bike month. The Bike to Work Rally will be Friday morning, May 29th from 6:30 to 7:30 AM in the Little Rock River Market Pavilion.

Not only will there be food and prizes, but we have invited many of our bicycle supporters including bike shops, cycling events, bike clubs, and restaurants to have a presence at the event.

Although there will be no official group ride, groups of cyclists will gather at the Little Rock side of the Big Dam Bridge or at River Trail Rentals in North Little Rock. Both will meet at 6:15 AM. There will be no police escort.

Take the time to encourage your coworkers to join the rally as well. The company with the most riders will be the first to receive the traveling Commuter Challenge Trophy!

This looks like fun!!<--Posted Friday, May 1, 2009 by Gary
Hey guys and gals!

My brother and I are organizing a bicycle ride across the state to benefit the local chapter of the Disabled American Veterans. This will help get these soldiers back outdoors hunting, fishing and such. We need donation for them or just donations of water for our ride. Let me know if you can help and believe me it will be greatly appreciated. You can go to our website to donate or even sign up to ride if you want to join us! You can ride the whole week or just a day. We will take all those that want to join us to help our wounded soldiers lead a more normal life! Thanks for your help!!
