Important Notice to All BACA Members & Other Central Arkansas Area Bicyclists:
Next Monday night (June 28) at the 7:00 p.m. North Little Rock City Council meeting we will make a presentation of appreciation (with a plaque) to Mayor Hays & the City Council for the outstanding contributions they have made to bicycling & trail use through development of the North Little Rock side of the River Trail & other trails in North Little Rock. We would like all BACA members & other central Arkansas bicyclists to join in the presentation at the City Council meeting room. Since we want to give Mayor Hays & the City Council a round of applause to let them know of our appreciation for all they have done & impress them with the numbers of people who support bicycling & development of trails, we want to go all out to have a good attendance. If you have a yellow BACA t-shirt please wear it, but please attend in any event. The presentation will be near the start of the meeting’s agenda & we can leave after the brief presentation. The City Council meeting room is in North Little Rock City Hall at 300 Main (Main & Washington - just across the Main Street Bridge).
We will not have a BACA meeting in July. Thanks. Ken Gould
Evening at ALLSOPP Park<--Posted Wednesday, June 16, 2004 by Gary

At the request of the organizers of the Allsopp Park trail maintenance event.
HRA and Little Rock Parks and Rec are sponsoring a trail maintenance in the evening at ALLSOPP on June 17th from 5 pm till dark. We will be repairing the trail behind the promenade that is always wet and muddy. The City is providing us some gravel and we've reserved some equipment to make the job easier. We will also walk the trails and cut back the overgrown vegetation and trash pick-up. We need strong men and women! Of course shovels, picks, wheelbarrows, and other trail building tools are needed with those volunteers if they have them. Meet at 5:00 on the Promenade. This event will count towards the Pay Dirt Program. For more information, please contact 501-660-4054. Hope to see you there!
Thanks!
Sam
