Hehehe..title sounds like a Mt biking event. Ok, here's the scoop. If your interested in stopping by with me at Gary's place and wishing Gary a "Get Well" soon. Meet me at Wing Stop in Lakewood Village shopping center in North Little Rock at 5:15 PM today. Unfortunatly I'm not able to pay for anyone's wings, but am buying Gary and Cathy's meal. We'll pick up the wings and convoy over to Gary's house and chow down and wish him well. I talked to both of them this morning and they are ready to eat! You might want to call ahead about 5:00 PM if you plan to attend so your wings will be ready to pick-up.
Number is 791-1900
Menu here.
Thanks Doug
P.S. - I'm a bald headed goofy lookin guy with a mustache and glasses. You can't miss me :-)

Our Fearless CARP Leader....<--Posted Friday, June 23, 2006 by Doug

Hey Everyone:
Not sure Gary wanted me to post this...he can hammer me later..but thought the CARP family should be up to date.
A quick update on Gary's post surgery condition. For those of you who did not know, our fearless CARP leader had surgery this morning to remove some nasty cancerous tissue. The report I recieved is he did very well in surgery and is doing very well now. He joins the ranks of those who've had cancer. Just goes to show you, how close to home this stuff hits, and how organizations like CARTI are fightin all the time to find cures for this evil stuff.
I'm planning on taking him & Cathy some hot wings next week when he gets home. If anyone is interested in pitching in (some of you probably are already planning to take meals to him etc)....we might could turn this into a little CARP party. Let me check with Cathy first and see what the Doc's orders are and post back here. I'll post back with my contact info, and will get it going on if possible.
I'm certain the membership administration with the CARP cards is covered while he's recovering.
Thanks Doug

If anybody can think of anybody in CARP who uses, or who might consider, any form of AutoCAD or any Autodesk product, please let me know who they are. I’m trying to justify an Applied Technology Group cookout. All I need is a few more customers, or even better, potential customers.

Free Titus Bike Demo....<--Posted Friday, June 9, 2006 by Gary

Free Titus Bike Demo
Competitive Cyclist will host a Titus Demo Day at the Burns Park Water Ski Ramp on Saturday, June 17, from 10:00 – 2:00. The Titus Demo Truck will have Titus Road and Mountain Bikes in a variety of sizes including the Moto Lite, Super Moto and legendary Racer X mountain bikes (aluminum, 29er and ExoGrid models). And, the Modena, Solera, FCR Ti, and ExoGrid road bikes will be available as well.
Titus is defined by their unwavering commitment to technology. It shows most famously in their Exogrid series of bikes -- Ti frames whose laser-cut, carbon-reinforced tubes possess the futuristic sex appeal normally reserved for F1 cars and fighter jets. And while there's something to be said for beauty, Titus is concerned first and foremost with performance. While you marvel at the look of an Exogrid tube, the folks at Titus would rather tell you about its function --about how an Exogrid tubeset makes a bike 40% torsionally stiffer than a standard Ti bike, while making it 15% more compliant. While Titus is perhaps best-known for their ability to mate lovely design work with razor-sharp engineering, they deserve equal attention for the way in which their technology trickles down to all price points.
For more information on Titus Bikes, please visit www.competitivecyclist.com/titus.
There is no cost for the demo, but riders must leave their drivers license at the registration table and fill out some basic information. For more information, please contact Drew at Competitive Cyclist at (888) 276-5686 or drew@competitivecyclist.com.
Directions: * Take I-40 to exit 150 * Head South off the exit on W Military Drive * Follow past the Burns Park Golf Course on right * Take right at the intersection and follow for ¼ mile * Demo will be on left immediately after the concrete bridge
