Gary,
I am Greg from riders ready bicycle shop in cabot. We have finally received permission from the city to make trails on city land that will one day be a 160 acre city park. The trails are the first phase. We would appreciate anyone who would like to lend a helping hand on these trails. We are still marking trails right now, but it would be great if you could put something in the news section on the carp site or just spread the word. We will have dates posted on www.ridersreadyonline.com under events when we have it a little better marked off. Scott Saunders sent me this info the other day---
Just wanted to let you know that after 4 weeks of work all trails at Camp R are cleared & clipped. I thought you might want to send out a club e-mail to let everyone know in case they haven't been out to ride the trails lately. As you know the weather this time of year is great and the trails are in the best shape ever. See ya around

For those who don't know Scott and his lovely wife Sharon, he has been around for years and definitely one of the greatest guys you'll ever meet. He and his wife love to ride at Camp and has been involved with Carp for many years. So if you run into him on the trails, tell him "Thank You!" for all the hard work he does. Four weeks, to clip every trail (over 30 miles), that's an incredible commitment. No one asked him, he just did it! Thanks again Scott.

If your interested in riding the Ouachita Challenge this year, keep an eye out on the site....as the race normally fills up very quickly. The tour also fills up quick. The site is listing the following date when registration is opening....
"Tentative dates for the 7th annual Ouachita Challenge have been set for April 5th & 6th 2008. Pending approval, registration is scheduled to open Monday, December 17th, 2007."

The Arky 100 is back for 2007. It will again be held in Sheridan, Arkansas with the same beautiful routes around the countryside. We will offer routes of 25, 50, 62 (100K) and 100 miles as before. Entry fee is $25.00 and can be completed via credit card through our secure online registration at the ABC website.
